The 1xRUN Process:

In the current online market where 3-5 business days has become the standard for big box e-commerce, our team and the artists we collaborate with strive to create a different breed of online gallery. Our promise to you is that we will never sacrifice quality at the cost of speed or price, so while the our process is a bit different, our constant goal is provide 1xRUN collectors with the highest quality original artwork, unique multiples and print editions. With our artists schedules and international shipping times sometimes our shipping takes a bit longer than we’re all conditioned to with other typical online purchases.

All said, our most common inquiry is When will I receive my order? The quick answer is roughly 6-8 weeks after the RUN has ended, but please read on to get an idea of how things work here at 1xRUN with our sample outline below.

Timeline Estimates:

1. Step 1 - Week 1 - You Found it!
   You have reserved a piece of artwork from 1xRUN, completed the transaction and now you’ve received this confirmation email from our team. Now we’d hate to have that lovely artwork sit unframed or duct taped to the wall! So please keep in mind we also offer gallery quality framing complete with frames that have been hand selected by the artist and our curators to uniquely compliment each RUN. We work with an amazing frame shop and due to the quantity of frames we order, we’re able to pass that savings along to you. If you would like your order framed please email framing@1xRUN.com to discuss framing options and add a custom frame to your order.
2. Step 2 - The RUN Ends/Is Sold Out!
   For timed RUNs after the time limit expires, regardless of the number sold the RUN has finished. For un-timed RUNs and original art many of these are on hand and will ship out within a week of your order being placed or the RUN ending. For the different types of RUNs read on to the end of this page.
3. Step 3 - Weeks 2-5: The artwork is shipped to the artist and authenticated.
   This is the most important step of our process. This is where the artist approves and authenticates each individual piece of art. This stage could take anywhere from 1-3 weeks. This often depends on how far away the artist is, along with their current schedule. Please keep in mind some of our artists work or live overseas and this can add additional time. After the artist has approved and authenticated the artwork, they ship it back to the 1xRUN offices here in Michigan.
4. Step 4 - Weeks 6-8: The prints arrive at 1xRUN and are shipped to YOU!
   As soon as the artwork arrives back from the artist, we carefully pack it up each piece of artwork and mail it to you as soon as possible. At this time you will receive an email notification with details of your shipment. If you have moved or need to make a change to your shipping address, please email dennis@1xrun.com
5. 1xRUN DAY!: You receive your artwork and it looks so great in your place!
   Your art has arrived at your doorstep and you open up the box or shipping tube. If you’ve ordered framing then your RUN will come ready to hang right out of the box! We love that! If you haven’t ordered framing, we trust you’ll still make it look great and we’d love to see how you put the art up on the wall. We would love to see any pictures of 1xRUN artists hanging, email us any flicks at info@1xrun.com!
   
   If by chance the artwork was damaged in transit please send us a quick email with a few photos and we’ll discuss the next step for any damaged RUNs. If for any reason at all you are not happy with your order, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and let us know what we can do by emailing pietro@1xrun.com.    All of this said, each RUN will have several variables, for domestic orders we estimate roughly 6-8 weeks for the artwork to reach your door once the RUN has ended. For international orders we estimate roughly 8-12 weeks, however, most of the time it ends up being much less.

RUNs Explained

We release several different types of RUNs, so we’ll touch on each type below. We started off releasing giclée or digital archival pigment prints, but over time we’ve grown to add screen prints, hand-painted multiples and one of a kind works of art as well! Regardless of the medium, we strive to provide the highest quality art to each collector. If you’re wondering we’ve attached a breakdown of how RUNs are categorized and how edition sizes are determined.

Archival Digital Pigment Prints (Timed): With timed RUNs we produce the edition size to the amount sold at the end of the RUN + Artist Proofs. Many of these RUNs sell out quickly, so once they are sold out we begin the printing process.

Archival Digital Pigment Prints (Untimed): With un-timed RUNs, we set the edition size and the RUN will end when it is completely sold out. If the print does not sell out it may be archived with the possibility of becoming available again at a later date, however the edition size will remain constant.

Silkscreen Prints: All silkscreen prints are set to an edition size prior to each release and will not change regardless of the number sold. We feel it’s important to produce the screen prints prior to the release to show the actual print offered. If the print does not sell out it may be archived with the possibility of becoming available again at a later date, however the edition size will remain constant.

Original Artwork & Hand Painted Multiples: All edition sizes of original art and hand-painted multiples are set beforehand. As with prints, on timed original art releases if there is unsold art, tthe RUN may be archived with the possibility of becoming available again at a later date, however the edition size will remain constant.
