I was born in South Korea, and currently live and work in Irvine, CA. Being a super optimistic person, I draw from my own experience of encountering contradicting emotions in my daily life and guide them in to a realm of positivity. My approach to create an image is more like an excavation. I feel like I'm carving out of a canvas until an image eventually reveals itself. Recently, I got inspired from food, especially tropical fruits and colorful deserts with decorations. I love them because they make me curious to imagine what they taste like. As I imagine myself being totally satisfied with them, or being surprised by unexpected tastes, I feel emotions and I love to capture those emotions in my art. Life is very precious, and I love enjoying life with my gift of creating art, and wish I could share this happiness with many others.
