Tre' Packard is the founder and managing director of PangeaSeed. With an inventive and proactive approach to ocean conservation, Packard utilizes art, design and new media to transcend cultural and linguistic boundaries inspiring positive global change. Established in 2009 in Tokyo, Japan, PangeaSeed was the first organization to address the issue of the conservation of sharks in the country. Through PangeaSeed, Packard continues to pioneer ground breaking initiatives and campaigns around the world.
For over half a decade Packard travelled throughout Asia documenting some of most remote and challenging locations bringing to light never before documented fisheries contributing to the destruction of ocean ecosystems and the often illegal trade of threatened marine life such as sharks, tuna and manta rays. An award-winning filmmaker and photographer, Packard’s work has been featured in festivals and publications around the world.
