1xRUN is proud to present an exclusive collection of print editions in partnership with legendary photographer Joe Conzo, Jr.!
Joe Conzo captured African-American and Latino life in the South Bronx, New York between 1976 and 1984. Known worldwide as "The Man Who Took Hip-Hop's Baby Pictures", Conzo photographed early performances by the Cold Crush Brothers, street jams, face-offs, and other moments that defined the genre's history.
Conzo's photographs offer a rare glimpse into a once-vibrant and bustling community that existed before a deadly narcotics epidemic and uptick in law enforcement swept the nation. Without his incredible work, we would know little about life during this historic time.
The Cornell University Library has archived Conzo's thousands of negatives, but for the first time ever, 1xRUN is publishing these images as exclusive print editions. Don't miss this opportunity to collect a rare piece of hip-hop history!
