On hip-hop’s 48th anniversary, we’re celebrating the genre that reinvented everything.
Curated by legendary photographer Joe Conzo, Jr., 1XRUN presents The Elements: a special collection of seldom-seen photographs, graffiti, artwork, and ephemera that embodies the culture of hip-hop and its roots.
Featuring 60+ exclusive editions by 20 artists, we shine a light on the culture’s rich history by publishing the perspectives of the few who experienced hip-hop when it was still a small grassroots movement.
From hip-hop pioneers Grandmaster Caz and Thirstin Howl III, to Fever Records founder Sal Abbatiello, to urban documentarians Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant, this collection brings us as close as we can get to an otherwise little-documented period of American history.
A selection of prints from each limited edition will be donated to the Universal Hip Hop Museum in The Bronx, New York.
What Does this Mean? Someone else has this artwork in their cart at the moment. If they choose to cancel, your position will move ahead in line. Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee an opportunity to purchase. Please do not leave 1XRUN.com or refresh your browser. Good luck!
