As Orange County officials declare August 24 as Kobe Bryant Day we stand in unity to honor Kobe’s commitment to community and his drive for excellence.

Today we are partnering with visual artist Madsteez to reproduce a mural he painted just weeks after the tragic death of the 18 time NBA All-Star and his daughter earlier in the year.

“Kobe’s an inspirational figure beyond just basketball and this print is a way for everyone to celebrate and honor his legacy.” - Madsteez

Pushing Kobe’s legacy forward we will be donating 30% of the proceeds from this release to the Heart of Los Angeles. A Los Angeles non-profit that promotes after-school academic, arts, athletics and wellness programs for underserved youth.

About this Collection
In February Madsteez partnered with East Village Walls to paint the mural on Yat Sen Intermediate School in Chinatown, New York. The subject of the mural was voted on by the students and they chose to honor Kobe’s legacy. Madsteez worked with photographer Atiba Jefferson who captured one of the very few studio shots of Gianna Bryant for the image that was used for the mural.

“Kobe and Gigi’s death hit close to home on so many levels. I’d spend the last 20 years in Orange County, CA and 10 of them 2 miles from where Kobe lived. I’d always see him at the grocery store or the gas station and he'd always comment on how much he liked my rims. He eventually came to my Newport Beach studio when I did a Nike commissioned mural of him on 180 skateboards. He was super appreciative, a humble dude and he loved it. His work ethic and dedication to his craft inspires me to put every ounce of energy into everything I do.” - Madsteez
