"I did these saws just for 1xRUN. Though I’ve painted a good amount of saws in the past for either commission or personal projects, these were created specifically for this release.
The idea was simple, 1xRun came up a list of words, I chose words from that list and painted them on these saws. I tried not to think of the words, but instead took inspiration from the sequence of letters and thought what style of letters would look good with each word. I also chose colors for the same reason. So basically the way I chose the letter styles and colors was not based on the meaning of the words, but rather the visual aspect of them.
All the letters are hand drawn on these nice antique saws from the antique capital New England, made and crafted right here in America! " - Kenji Nakayama
This original piece of artwork comes signed by Kenji Nakayama and with a Letter of Provenance from 1xRUN.
