About this Art
This November, 323East Gallery will once again host Glass, Cinder & Thorns. The all-women, fairy-tale inspired group exhibition features over 20 new pieces from some of today's best female artists curated by April Segedi.
"This is a piece based on the Brothers Grimm Tale "Hansel & Gretel." It is a wonderful story of two children who are threatened to be eaten by a horrible witch after finding a house made of sweets. They outwit her and manage to escape, which is good I suppose. I was turned on to this particular story by the imagery of the candy house and the unsavory plot. " - Rudy Fig
This RUN comes signed by the artist along with an Original Artwork Letter of Provenance from 323East Gallery and 1xRUN.
Rudy Fig is a 24 year old, Minneapolis based fine artist and designer. With toy designers for parents, she grew up in a very creative atmosphere. She excelled in the arts from a young age and began showing her work professionally at 18, shortly after flunking out of art school. Her lush oil paintings feature a cosmic world of candy coated vixens, magic garden tea parties and a pallet of saturated pastels. Her work is shown and collected across the globe.
