About this Art
This piece of original artwork is ready to hang.
"Ignorance breeds complacency but a well educated individual will only want better and desire more. They will think bigger in order to build a better future. A dream is realized when knowledge is applied." - Lamar Landers
Opening to the public Saturday, January 24th from 7-10pm, Inner State Gallery is proud to present “We Have A Dream” a group exhibition featuring more than 40 emerging Detroit artists, each paying homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historical “I Have A Dream” speech.
Detroit bred, Lamar Landers, is an exceptional photographer who creates beautiful images by combining grit with glamor. He draws his audience into his world by creating intimate moments with interesting compositions, attention to lighting and experimentation with the juxtaposition of grimy environments and hints of beauty. He uses his lens to capture the true essence of people, places, and objects. Lamar says "I don't want to control life, but I love to capture pieces of this big world in small frames."
Lamar's creative agenda is simple. "Do something new or be something better."
