About this Art

The framing option for this RUN includes a 1 inch black wood frame with UV-glass, foam core backing and ready to hang hardware.

" The main goal of this piece was to make a work with lots of grand overtures and activity that overwhelms the majority of the piece, yet stays in balance overall. The actual focus of the work is the small girl standing on the bridge on the lower left of the piece. She’s holding a spyglass and is looking to the distant horizon on the right lower portion. The magician character (the guys biting each other with the yellow heads and serpentine arms) is holding a magnifying glass that is highlighting an umbrella that is very small on the far horizon of the grassy area. Essentially, there is a lot going on in her world, and she has the calm foresight to look past all the beauty and madness to spot the thing she needs to focus on." - Nathan Spoor
Nathan Spoor
Los Angeles, California
Nathan Spoor is an artist and writer living in Los Angeles, CA, whose work is highly regarded by several prestigious collections and publications worldwide.

A practitioner and student of Suggestivism, Spoor’s paintings involve images of transition and growth; fluid narratives that chronicle a world rich with the mystery, joy, pain, and delicate balance of personal and spiritual evolution. Believing that continuous study of technique and process are critical to his own growth as an artist. No image or canvas is too precious to wipe, repaint, and even burn on his own journey to discovery and expression. In this way, Spoor makes a personal and transformative connection with each piece that for him lives on beyond the finished works.

With a writing style that shows an impressive passion and understanding of the arts in context, Spoor continues to bring challenging and informative text to readers of such internationally acclaimed publications as Hi Fructose, BL!SSS, Juxtapoz, Grand Central Press and The Surfer's Journal in an intelligent and educated fashion.
