About this Art

The framing option for this RUN includes a 1 Inch Black Wood Frame with UV-Glass, foam core backing and ready to hang hardware.

"Like most of my other work, I created this painting with acrylic on wood panel. This was a commission piece that I completed this painting over the summer months of 2011. In this case, I was given tons of reference and ideas to incorporate in the work. The challenge was picking a choosing my key figures and sorting out the composition. My work tends to be busy but gets that way from stream of conscious. This work needed to be more planned in the sketch stage.

Gamers might recognize some of the characters in the composition. The work was inspired by the games of Blizzard Entertainment. (Makers of World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo) Also, “Two Weeks” was selected to be in the most recent edition of Spectrum. I believe it was book 19." - Joe Vaux

This RUN comes signed, numbered and with a Certificate of Authenticity from Joe Vaux and 1xRUN.

Joe Vaux
Los Angeles, California
"After receiving a B.F.A. in illustration at Syracuse University in 1994, I moved to California and began my professional career in the animation industry. I refer to these years as graduate school, continuing to learn from some of the animation world’s top artistic talent. I am currently a Director on FOX’s “Family Guy”.

Although my influences and abilities have grown, my imagery seems to grow out of an adolescent’s sensibility. Strange environments and absurd characters are the players in a demented adaptation of my life story. I hope that within the madness the viewer will find the comedy that is our existence." - Joe Vaux
