About The Artist

The framing option for this RUN includes a 1 inch natural wood frame with UV-glass, foam core backing and ready to hang hardware.

"The Spirit of the Fox was created for the Born Free USA fundraiser show at Thinkspace gallery last year that helped benefit endangered species. This was one of those pieces that just built itself up from drawing to painting. I started sketching without any intentions and it turned into this. The fox has always been one of my spirit animals. I chose this particular animal because it looks like a fox, but I painted from a picture of an endangered Ethiopian wolf.

Although this original painting was sold at the show, I did do a few brand new sketches for 1xRUN collectors that are available here." - Ana Bagayan

"My work is inspired by the metaphysical- E.T.'s, spirits, ghosts, inter-dimensional space creatures, alternate realities, anything that hints at the idea that we are just a small part of the unimaginably vast universe. Some of my UFO and E.T. themed works are based on hypnosis sessions of people who believed they had been abducted by aliens and other accounts of mass UFO sightings from around the world. I’ve created human/alien hybrid creatures based on the experiences these people described. All of the works, I feel incorporate the inherent beauty of interpreting both the known and unknown.

I was born in Yerevan, Armenia and earned a BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. I currently live and work in Los Angeles, CA with my husband, two dogs, and fish named Masquerade." - Ana Bagayan
