ABOUT THIS ART

This piece of original artwork comes ready to hang.

Opening to the public Friday, December 16, 2016 at Inner State Gallery, 1xRun is proud to present "A Family Affair: 1xRUN Employee Holiday Group Show," an entirely new body of work by the 1xRUN staff. For the first time ever, our artists at 1xRUN will exhibit one solo piece and one collaborative piece with a fellow employee all in one show!

"Our team at 1xRUN and Inner State is composed of so many creatives and artists that we wanted to curate an exhibition where we as a team can collaborate and celebrate together. Presenting this collection to our international audience and celebrating their creativity with our friends and family here in the gallery will provide a window into what we do each day here at 1410 Gratiot," says Jesse Cory.

"This piece is a representation of my job at the gallery. Whenever we have an artist visit our residency I assist them in creating a blank canvas for their work to adorn. Whether it is making wood panels, which are my favorite, or stretching canvases, my job is to help the artist be an artist. This piece I feel is pretty enough to show as is on a wall or to be placed into an artist's hands to live on as a new piece." - Craig Hejka
