"This piece is the first of a series that is focusing more on organic and floral themes. I created this piece using acrylic and resin on wood panel back in April of 2019.
I rarely have an idea when starting a new piece, I just kind of start drawing with pin striping tape and let it take shape naturally. This one has a more floral summer feel to it than my other work and it took about a couple weeks from start to finish.
I rarely do prints, this is only the third print I’ve ever released and I’m super happy with how they came out!" - David Cooley

ABOUT David Cooley:
David Cooley is a self-taught artist based in Southern California. Although well-versed in realistic imagery, he currently creates psychedelic, geometric, abstract paintings using acrylic and resin.
His work is often mistaken as digitally rendered. On closer examination it becomes clear that his art is done entirely by hand. Cooley’s pieces are highly textural, compromised of a myriad of hand-pulled, colorful thorns that form geometric shapes and patterns constructing otherworldly landscapes.
