About this Art

The framing option for this RUN includes a 1 inch black wood frame with UV-glass foam core backing and ready to hang hardware.

"When I paint skulls, I don't necessarily have death in mind. To me they represent making our time here count. For this piece, I was imagining a person looking back at one's life and being really happy that they lived their life exactly the way they wanted to live it. The title, “hotdoggin” comes from old skiing lingo to describe someone who was showing off. Whether it's living flashy or quietly rebelling against the norm, I cherish people who comfortable in their own skin and are happy to just be." - Jaime Molina

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Painter and sculptor Jaime Molina has not only crafted a perfectly realized aesthetic, one of endlessly endearing folk art rusticity, but he’s created a whole world of his own. “I'm not sure how my created world evolved the way it has,” Molina tells the Creators Project. "I try and put as much of myself in my work so maybe it translates into the characters I make and paint... I work intuitively so it's hard for me to articulate why everything is how it is. It's just what makes sense to me." - The Creators Club 2016
