About this Art

This piece of original artwork comes framed and ready to hang.

December 1st - 4th, 2016 Inner State Gallery returns to SCOPE’s Miami Beach Art Fair. The prestigious SCOPE Art Fair takes place during Art Basel Miami in the heart of Miami Beach, and since its inception has proved to be the place to see the world’s leading contemporary artists and galleries. A monumental pavilion welcomes nearly 45,000 visitors over the course of six days. Showcasing more than 100 of the world’s best contemporary galleries, hundreds of artists will unveil new groundbreaking work during the largest art festival in the country.

“After last year’s sold out exhibition in Miami we had to follow up in 2016 with one of our most prolific collections. Cryptik has proven to be one of contemporary art’s most unique voices and his meditative mandalas will again have collectors stopping in their tracks. On top of that, we are also excited to showcase new works from 2501, Pixel Pancho and Tiff Massey, for a well rounded blend of traditional paintings and sculptural work with a little something for everybody,” Jesse Cory Co-Founder of Inner State Gallery said.

2501 is an artist living and working out of Italy. His work is shown on gallery walls and public outdoor mural installations throughout the world.

Rome, Italy
Milan born 2501 aka Jacopo Ceccarelli defines himself as a multidisciplinary artist who abolishes frontiers between media. Through painting, sculpture, installation, photography and even video, this Italian artist plays around with abstract and figurative images alike. Embarked in a quest for blank spaces, 2501 experiments with lines, shapes and motion in free compositions that show strictness all the while breaking art codes. A tireless traveler, he goes from Europe to South America in art residencies. At the age of 20, he settled in Sao Paulo to teach painting to shantytown children, after studying cinema in Milan and visual communication at the New Bahaus University of Weimar, Germany.

His altruistic personality led him to take on a documentary approach starting in 2008, which evolved a couple of years later toward the Nomadic Experiment project, a series of international exhibitions focused around countercultures in Austria, Italy, Mongolia, Canada and California. 2501's site specific and socially committed work in constant dialogue with urban topography, mainly takes the form of murals, among which a specific mural project carried on during the autumn 2016 for Now Art in Los Angeles. Always on the move due to a career that leads him to answer the calls of various art institutions and fairs around the world, he enjoyed many solo shows in 2016, among which Freedom of Choice at the Celaya Brothiers Gallery, Mexico, and La Macchina, at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Lissone, Italy. He also took part in numerous street art festivals like ALTrove (May) as well as Scope Basel (June), where the famous Wunderkammern Gallery represented him, as well as the Arte Feria of Bologna (January): a success that does not seem to impact the artist's free mind since he keeps hunting new projects. - Maxime Gasnier
