"The World Next Door is the name of a new collection of works where I try to illustrate a fantastic world by blending my own vision with different elements and characters from mythological and divine stories. It is a fusion of symbols taken from both machine and none machine world.
When making these series, I have been time travelling, trying to understand and recreate the world in an ironic way, with an addition of surreal and spiritual elements." - MAD
MAD (born 1987) is a street artist from Tabriz, Iran since 2008. His major interests include combining critical social and cultural commentary with a dose of humor and metaphor, war, peace, freedom, humanity, etc. He has presented his unique works on walls and art galleries of numerous countries around the world including Iran, US, Netherlands, UK, Norway, and Turkey.
