“What could be better for a young couple to organize a romantic picnic, perhaps in the middle of nature, accompanied by traditional food and a refreshing drink? Nothing, in fact, but the situation becomes more "explosive" if the toast takes place with two molotov. Hence the idea of a picnic, a work inspired by the love between a young couple in whose life there are, however, problems and limitations. War, for example, or a system that is excessively repressive towards human relations between people. But love and friendship are able to defeat every monster, and here even the two young protagonists of the work decide to see each other without however showing their faces and toasting to their love with two glasses of Molotov, the handmade bombs created specifically to detonate their targets. A sign of protest, of struggle but also of perseverance, to keep always active and vital the normal human relationships between people, hoping for a brighter future.” Written by Clara Amodeo
