"I received a cake in the mail that was not meant for me. I was supposed to receive a cake from my Mom, but instead I received something from a woman named Chandis, who was just trying to do something nice for her friend. (I have no idea if Chandis’ friend ever received a replacement cake, but the one that ended up with me tasted great). 'Chandis' just kind of stuck with me as a name for a lady who loves to gossip with her friend.
"Francis and Chandis are two birds that encourage you to go forward with your own personal style and personal gender expression. I hope that Francis and Chandis can support whatever it is that you’ve been wanting to unlock within yourself. That’s part of what Women’s History Month means to me: you’ve got to have a good flock around you." –Monica Dubray
