Remio: Since the mid 80's. I didn't meet any other writers (other than a kid who showed me a blackbook, skateboard & the Beastie Boys tape) until the late 90's. I grew up on a small island in Norway, there was no graff when I was kid.

"I draw the R's all the time. This one was around the time a friend passed away. I made the word bubbles blank so I could fill them in by hand with his name on the stickers the image was originally made for.
This particular R was originally a drawing I did with a sharpie on a page in my black book. The laser cut edition was made on birch, with screen print ink and white latex paint." - Remio
