Brandon Boyd Returns To 1xRUN With Lauren In Transit Hand-Painted Mulitples & Hybrid Editions

We welcome back the multi-talented Brandon Boyd as part of this year's 1xRUN x Juxtapoz Clubhouse 2016 Print Suite!? His latest edition Lauren In Transit is one of our new favorites, with a beautiful hybrid screen print with archival pigment print along with 11 unique hand-painted multiples both available right here exclusively on 1xRUN! Boyd's work as a singer, songwriter, both as a solo artist and with his platinum-selling rock band Incubus, is well documented and universally acclaimed. But now his other life\'s work - that of a painter - has been garnering increasing attention and devoted audiences of its own and here at 1xRUN we are proud to help showcase these great new works. Read on for more information on Brandon's latest editions, his recent anti-Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) wheatpastes with his friend Diana Garcia and much more. . .

ABOUT THIS ART
On November 12th - 15th, hundreds of people participated in a lottery at Milk Gallery. The 22 Lucky winners got to stick their arm through a hole to get a surprise tattoo by the one & only Scott Campbell. No input. No communication. No pulling out. Here's what went down.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Louisiana-born Scott Campbell is known throughout the world as being one of the most talented hands in the world of tattooing. After abandoning a career as a biochemist at the University of Texas, he fled to San Francisco, and began tattooing. He learned the craft at Picture Machine, one of the oldest shops in California, rich with stories and nicotine stained flash on the walls from it's heyday in the 60's and 70's. He now owns and operates the legendary Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, whose client list includes New York's art and design elite, fashion designers such as Marc Jacobs, and a long roster of celebrities including Heath Ledger, Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom, Helena Christensen, and Penelope Cruz. In recent years, he has gained much acclaim from fine art communities worldwide for his work in mediums other than skin, including intricately carved sculptures made out of US currency, a series of watercolor paintings based on his experiences during a 6 week stay in a maximum security prison in Mexico City, and graphite drawings done on the insides of eggshells. Campbell has only shown in galleries for a few years, but his work is already seen in some of the most revered collections and museums worldwide. He is celebrated as one of the brightest new voices in the New York art scene.
