"This piece was originally painted in mid 2008 on a 4’ x 4’ wooden panel made by my boy Buds at my then home in Van Nuys, California. The print we’ve put together for this is based on that original piece and was finished just recently in the summer of 2014.
I think it’s a fairly straight forward concept. Zorro, a Californian with an identity crisis takes delight in publicly humiliating the authorities and inspiring the people while leaving his mark along the way. I've substituted some borrowed Rustoleum for his trusty sword in this updated view of this historical figure." - Sever
Sever, is an internationally recognized writer whose work over the past two decades has inspired community service crews and graffiti enthusiasts alike. Sever has cultivated his love for vandalism in some of the most forgotten neighborhoods in the world, having lived and traveled throughout the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. In addition to his illicit works Sever is a frequent cultural commentator who has worked extensively with Krokus and The Olive Garden among others. He currently resides in Atlanta.
