"Instead of taking the portrait approach I did last year with my stamp collection, I wanted to let my mind wander and make a subconscious body of work. The Black Panther Party was a heavy influence in this series because I admire the strength, the leadership, and history of the Panthers. I want collectors to be able to feel the intensity of color repetition and symbolism in my series celebrating Black History Month." –Sheefy
