Swoon's Massive Heliotrope Print Suite

To say the least, 2016 was a banner year for Brooklyn-based artist Caledonia Curry aka Swoon. Here in Detroit alone, she opened a solo show and also installed a massive new piece at the world famous Detroit Institute of Arts. We had a chance to work alongside Swoon, and her amazing team, down in Miami and we're honored to display the latest iteration of their ever-evolving Heliotrope Foundation Print Suite that was also featured inside of the Juxtapoz Clubhouse! This special collection features some of the biggest names in contemporary art, including 1xRUN alum Beau Stanton, Cash For Your Warhol, Dennis McNett, Gaia, Ian Kuali'i, Logan Hicks, Monica Canilao, Revok, Ricky Powell, Ron English, Saber, Tara McPherson, Vexta alongside fellow contemporaries like Swoon, Shepard Fairey, How & Nosm, Jean Jullien, Dan Witz, Joe Iurato, Kenny Scharf, Olek and lots more. Read on as Swoon gives us the lowdown on this amazing print suite. . .

ABOUT THIS ART

NOTE: These prints are unsigned. All proceeds from the Heliotrope Prints series benefit the Heliotrope Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by artist Caledonia Curry (Swoon) to advance the values & vision of her community-based projects. The Heliotrope Foundation supports three core projects: Braddock Tiles in Braddock, Pennsylvania; Konbit Shelter in Cormiers, Haiti, and The Music Box Village in New Orleans, Louisiana.

"The Heliotrope Print Suite originally started with me just reaching out to my friends, and people volunteering, but now it’s grown to become an incredible representation of contemporary art making in its own right. The foundation itself started about two years ago, but the work we’re doing started much earlier. We have three core projects: a post earthquake rebuilding project in Haiti, a ceramics and job training program in Braddock, PA and musical architecture in New Orleans. " - Swoon
