Definitely a classic icon of Summer, the Mister Softee trucks come out in full force during the scorching afternoons in New York. A tasty treat of a print if we may say so ourselves! We'll let the artist elaborate:
"The first sure sign of Summer in New York City is the Mr. Softee trucks. It seems they are on every street corner here - and of course that means even in the ghetto (where I lived for 3 years). Some of these trucks are a little broken down, dirty, and in some of cases, even sell other non-frozen (and illegal) treats. Here's my take on the classic character – Softee X. Like everything else in New York, he's a little rough around the edges." – Travis Cain
We decided to throw down this six color screen print on a light blue paper. The layer of white really adds that crucial, vanilla feel.
