ABOUT THIS ART

The framing option for this RUN includes a 1 Inch Black Wood Frame with UV-Glass, foam core backing and ready to hang hardware.

“Zissou” is an illustration portrait of Bill Murray’s character of Steve Zissou, from Wes Anderson’s movie “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.” Collaborating with PangeaSeed on this project has been an honor for me, because the message goes beyond just the subject of the piece; all the more so, it was created with an intent to bring attention to one of the most pressing issues of our time, the importance of preserving and protecting the world’s oceans. In the movie, Zissou plays an eccentric oceanographer, with undeniable love and appreciation for the sea life. Through vibrant colors, intricate patterns and references to the invented sea creatures that appear in the movie, I wanted to create the piece that reflected the complex, colorful and beautiful nature of the ocean life." - Vedran Misic
