ABOUT THIS ART:
We are excited welcome back Victor Spinelli as he joins us for his third RUN, a continuing series of hand-embellished canvas pieces Pulp . Each in the series will be uniquely hand-embellished and limited to just 33 canvas prints.
Please Note: This RUN will be sold as an unstretched canvas, however, it can also be stretched and framed in a cradled gallery wrap for an additional $50.
"I created a faux "Queen Pulp" comic company about a year ago and this is one of my original series of 12 'Pulp Fiction' covers that I made. I love the old comic book and pulp fiction covers from the 50's & 60's so I appropriated my own photographs and I guess re-invented them. The original photograph was taken in 2004 on negative film and the concept for these pieces was created in the spring of 2013. Each of these pieces are printed on archival photographic canvas and uniquely hand-embellished with acrylic paint." - Victor Spinelli
This RUN comes signed and numbered and includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Victor Spinelli and 1xRUN.
ABOUT Victor Spinelli:
"In the early 1990′s I became a commercial hot air balloon pilot-instructor and started a rag tag but successful Hot Air Balloon sky diving and bungee jumping business. I actually own a World Record (unofficial) for having the oldest lady, Grace Tall, then 75 years old, to bungee jump from my balloon as I was piloting. See Ripley’s Believe it or Not. Moving forward, with camera in hand, I have for the past 17 years split my time between New York, the Mediterranean and California and have evolved my artistry into several multi-media directions by working on films, commercials, music videos, documentaries and print campaigns. After working for three summers in Mykonos, Greece photographing the island life, I was drawn to another island in the Mediterranean: Ibiza, Spain. Now Shanghai, China is calling me. As her resurrection begins as Asia's financial powerhouse, my work lands at her doorstep at the perfect time. A venture capital firm has teamed up with me and we have just opened 'Spinelli Galleries Shanghai' in March." – Victor Spinelli
