ABOUT THIS ART:
This piece of original art is ready to hang.
"These pieces were created in response to a lot of what happening in America today. Basically a comment on our loss of freedom and liberties. The eagles represent our liberties and they are flying away from the chaos in the kingdom. I read something that resonated with me and fits these well “Nations roar, kingdoms crumble.” America is in a strange space. Our police are militarized, government is run by corporate interest, politicians are no longer for the people.
I think the mixed media I am using is not seen everyday, the solid transfer, paint, and spray paint mix is clean but loose at the same time. I also think although there is a lot of heavy energy in the concept they feel light, as if the eagles flight is change and better things are coming." - Bisco Smith
This piece of original artwork comes signed by Bisco Smith and includes an Original Artwork Letter of Provenance from 1xRUN.
ABOUT Bisco Smith:
BISCO SMITH (b.1980) is an American contemporary urban artist whose work is characterized as a blend of graffiti deconstruction, abstract gesturalism, action painting, and style writing. His technique involves energetic, expressive brushstrokes that reflect the flow of music and translates the consciousness of the moment into painted lyrics and abstract black and white works of art.
Bisco believes that art is energy transmitted through various mediums, and as such, the artist becomes the conduit. He aims to bring a good intention to all his paintings in hopes that the energy will continue to resonate wherever the art lives. His art captures the unseen rhythms of music, the untamed energy of a moment, duality, and good intentions.
Bisco has exhibited art, performed music, painted murals, and partnered with creative brands and live events worldwide. Bisco's work is regularly exhibited in major markets and is collected by both national and international collectors.
