The faces are familiar. The feelings are less so. From time to time, figuration appears throughout my asemic abstractions. Even without it, people find characters, scenes, and stories in my work anyways. Just because it’s not there on purpose doesn’t mean it’s not there. If you see them, faces do appear across this series of 28 originals works of ink on watercolor paper — though which ones we’re talking about could vary from person to person. I deem my work successful when I’m in the zone, which isn’t a spectrum of whether a piece feels happy or sad, but the intensity of any feeling within it.
