Chiara (Kia) Battisti was born in Milan in 1983. After attending art school Caravaggio in Milan, she enrolled at the Painting Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, where she graduated in March 2007.

In high school, she found interests in Photorealism and studied the movement. During this time she got closer to the world of writing and street art. Between 2005 and 2011 lead to the production of a figurative paintings series with themes that illustrate the roots of hip-hop culture (street life) through external urban scenes - portrayed often from the bottom view and in the foreground.
